I'm Back!
I decided to try doing this on my I-Pad for a change but I can see that it's going to be somewhat of a challenge! I may wait until this afternoon and give my new Mac a "roll". Anyway, the news is that I am back, and am still in the recovery process, but am excited to create and to share. By the way I have a little girl that has helped me heal a lot. Her nam is Zoe Grace and I'll post her picture later. I've got some great stuff to share so stay tune!

A Sad Time
It's been a while since I last posted. I have been taking care of my very sweet little Pomeranian named "Spike" or "Spikey" as we called him. I had to let him go last Saturday as he was suffering so badly. Now, I know....to never give your dog any kind of bone other than a steak bone, but I let someone else persuade me to let Spikey have a pork chop bone and because of this character flaw in me, I have lost my dearest friend. It will be a long recovery because he was the kind of pet that everyone would wish for. My grandchildren live away from me and my husband is married to his job, so Spike was my friend 24/7. Everywhere I look, I see him. I'm hoping that somehow this information will be helpful to everyone, and possibly save a doggie's life, but also I am writing this as a catharsis for myself. Never give your dog a pork chop bone! ......and always trust your instincts. My baby is running in Heaven.

The Artist Alliance
I would like to extend an invitation to those of you that live in the West Michigan area to a wonderful show that is being exhibited at the Forest Hills Fine Art Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The title of the show is "Anything Goes!' The exhibition is a collections of work by a group of artists named The Artist Alliance. The Artist Alliance has been exhibiting their work for over 15 years in Michigan as well as nationally. The group is comprised of award- winning, nationally recognized artists and the work showcased at the center is among the finest work that one can view in each of the artist's venues. You will be able to view watercolors, pastels, assemblage, photography and fabric art just to name a few. Many in our group are "experimental artists" and our work continually changes and grows. If you haven't visited The Forest Hills Fine Art Center, you are in for a real treat. This is a beautiful Fine art Center to promote and exhibit art. We are privileged to have this venue in our area. The show opens on July 5th and the formal reception is July 14th from 6:00 pm - 7:30. It's a great time to meet the artists and put "faces" with their work! I'll be posting examples of some of the work that I put in the show.
By the way, the reason that you haven't heard anything from me in the last week or two is that I have a very sick little puppy and have traveled from Michigan State University to Purdue University (which is where I am now!) Hopefully they will have some answers for me.
Watch for art photos to come!
OOPS! The address for Forest Hills Fine art Center is: 600 Forest Hill Avenue S.E. Grand Rapids, MI.
