"Changes"

Below is the photo of the assemblage that I created for Artwalk. The story behind this blog is...don't try to post a psd file!.... and don't call your computer a big stupid thing ##"?%#! when the photo will not post.

"Change Favors the Prepared Mind"

Zoe Grace

Meet Zoe Grace
I'm back now and I'm feeling more like myself everyday.  I have good reason to feel better as you can see from the picture above.  Spike is still with me in spirit everyday, but Zoe is helping me to move on.  On that note, I'm back in my studio and have been working everyday.  It feels great.  I've created a sculpture that is a continuation of my "Art Patent Series".  You can view the other pieces on the patent series and the story behind them on my website anniemorganstudios.com.  I'm very happy with the way it turned out.  It's a whimsical piece as are the others in the collection.

"Hand-winding Moveable Pigment Blaster"
I entered the piece in the Grand Haven Art Walk along with an assemblage that I also created for that purpose.  I am going to make some changes to the assemblage (not many) but it's appropriate as the name of the piece is "Changes" and it's dedicated to my "Spikey Boy".
Louis Pasteur said "Chance favors the prepared mind".....and I decided to take artistic license and name the piece "Change Favors the Prepared Mind" - "Changes" is a shortened title.
Right now I'm just finishing up an oil painting of a long narrow landscape that will be framed using an antique glass and cherrywood library bookcase door.  I'm so ready to be done with it.  I have re-worked the sky so many times.....I'm seeing stars! a bit of humor.  I'll post the assemblage in my next blog.
and I'm......back to the studio!

I'm Back!

I decided to try doing this on my I-Pad for a change but I can see that it's going to be somewhat of a challenge! I may wait until this afternoon and give my new Mac a "roll". Anyway, the news is that I am back, and am still in the recovery process, but am excited to create and to share. By the way I have a little girl that has helped me heal a lot. Her nam is Zoe Grace and I'll post her picture later. I've got some great stuff to share so stay tune!

A Sad Time

It's been a while since I last posted.  I have been taking care of my very sweet little Pomeranian named "Spike"  or "Spikey" as we called him.  I had to let him go last Saturday as he was suffering so badly.  Now, I know....to never give your dog any kind of bone other than a steak bone, but I let someone else persuade me to let Spikey have a pork chop bone and because of this character flaw in me, I have lost my dearest friend.  It will be a long recovery because he was the kind of pet that everyone would wish for.  My grandchildren live away from me and my husband is married to his job, so Spike was my friend 24/7.  Everywhere I look, I see him.  I'm hoping that somehow this information will be helpful to everyone, and possibly save a doggie's life, but also I am writing this as a catharsis for myself.  Never give your dog a pork chop bone! ......and always trust your instincts.  My baby is running in Heaven.
